I took this today on a family walk on the beach of machir bay on the isle of islay. I don’t know why but I just had to get down on the wet sand to get this photo. Has anyone else here had the pleasure of seeing islay?

I took this one today while out a family walk, I am looking for some advice in regards to the sky and any other bits and pieces anyone can see wrong. The problem being on the right hand side is dark and moody and the left is really bright, we did end up getting caught in a massive hail shower. Looking for any advice on improving t…[Read more]

@robertapple I really like what you have done with this, im never too sure how far to go with the likes of saturation, but then again its all just experimental. I do agree with billyspad regarding the cloud though, it has started annoying me as it does kind of look like a smudge lol, thanks very much for the advice and what you have done with it…[Read more]

Hi Bruce, I agree with billyspad that the trees in the foreground are a bit distracting, I would crop them out and bring up the exposure a litte, I also like to play about with the HSL, im no expert though, just a beginner, I put a lot of my stuff here as well for advice. I would take @billyspad advice.

@federicoalegria I do agree that @billyspad has added much more detail to this photo. I reckon I do need to invest in better ND filters if you have suggestions, in terms of a tripod though, I do have one but I had my 2 year old daughter along with me and she refused to hand it over as she was helping carry it lol, as stubborn as her mother.

Not much to the landscape but there was just something that caught my eye. Only had my 70 300mm lens as well.

I took this one on a beach between bruiccladich and bridgend on the isle of islay. There’s not much in the way of a landscape but there was just something that caught my eye.
